Hi Ranger specialists; a noobish question about rangers and their rotors.

I just bought & received a pair of 11 1/4” replacement front rotors for my 1998 Ranger (reg cab, 2WD-RWD, 2.5L, 112” WB). However, I just checked a spec page that says that the factory installed FW rotors are 10.28” x 1.33”. I just went and measured them – this is indeed true.
Question is: can I install the 11 1/4” rotors on said vehicle?

Thanks in advance :icon_thumby:.

No. Will probably rub the caliper. They put 2 different sizes on the 2wd. Bought one one time that the PO had the smaller rotors and only half the pad was touching the rotor. Too stupid... You will need to get the smaller ones

Depends on how much you want to spend:

There are 2 sizes of rotors and 2 sizes of calipers for '98+ Rangers:

If you want to replace your current calipers with the larger ones; then you can use the larger rotors. Otherwise, you are returning the rotors.

Large caliper part numbers: 141.65049 & 141.65050

Small caliper part numbers for reference: 141.65037 & 141.65038

At least that's what my research says ( I know small and small; large and large go together; not sure if spindle changed too...)
