I gave in and took my truck to the shop (that I trust) Tuesday. I got a phone call yesterday saying he checked the compression which was fine. He did find that the number 1 cylinder was not firing correctly or at all. He put a new plug in (even though it had one) and no change. He believes the fuel injector is the issue.

Only because I don't have the time currently, I told him to replace it. I have my fingers crossed hoping this will actually be my issue. I will keep everyone posted.

On the bright side he did say that the job I did looked good ... for whatever that's worth.

I got the truck back Friday afternoon and drove it all weekend. I know this sounds COMPLETELY crazy, but the truck feels stronger! I know, I know, 160hp out of the box, but from what I had (or was used to) the power of replacing the top end has made a difference! :yahoo:

Thank you folks for all the help and thoughts. Shout out to RonD for your quick reply's and knowledge. You know your stuff! :icon_thumby:

The #1 fuel injector was in fact causing the miss fire.

Hopefully I can get further down the road this go around before my next issue pops up!
