Hi
i have been having problems lately with my 93 ranger. its blowing a 15 amp fuse, on my fuse diagram it says its my lisence plate light fuse, but when it blows my dash lights and tail lights and my lisence plate lights all go out. i checked my wires off my lisence plate lights and taped up any area that looked like a potentail problem. Well i can reeplace the fuse start my truck and it seems fixed but as soon as i hit the breaks boom the fuse blows again. I asumme there is a short in my break lights somewhere but i figured i would get your guys opinions on the matter
thanks in advance !

Inspect the rear lamp sockets, replace bad lamps, maybe clean up the connector at the middle of the tailgate under the bumper.

Try the problem with that connector disconnected, see if it still blows the fuse.

Might also clean the grounds on your fenders, under the hood.

I've got schematics for the 93, PM me your e-mail address and I'll send them tomorrow.

My credo
Confused and Intolerant
Ranger's tend to have grounding issues sometimes, and at other times corrosion issues (but thats on how well you take care of them! haha).

I say it was goblins.... Cody has seen them before... they live in your shoe and steal your fuses, and replace them with blown ones.... its consperacy I tells ya!

That is the best explanation i have ever heard... They must be friends with the sock gremlin that steals my socks
