So I am ditching the 4in blocks my bronco has because of the bad axle wrap. And I am considering going to 6in skyjacker soft rides. Has anyone have any experience with these springs? Just trying to see what to expect.

I ran the 4" Skyjacker springs for awhile on mine (still do on my Ranger). They seemed to give slightly less lift on my BII than on my Ranger (maybe 3" vs 3¾") probably because of the different shackle angle. My problem was I kept bending the main leaf just behind the forward spring eye (and it was not limited to just Skyjacker springs, but more than one Explorer spring too). Maybe it has something to do with wheeling trails like Rubicon & Dusy on 35s w/400lbs of camping gear and a friend riding shotgun, but I finally went to ProComp 3.5" Chevy leafs and haven't looked back.

Fitting Chevy leafs on a BII will entail some significant modifications to your middle body mounts if you don't also relocate the rear axle back (stretch the wheelbase) a few inches (there are some pics of what I did on mine on my BII vehicle page).

They'll likely be fine if you're not overloaded and really contorting the suspension. Ride-wise they seemed fine.

Good luck with it.
