Finally got the new rebuild /swap running (was not a prob. w/ the 20 lane intersection wiring as originally thought). The local machine shop finally convinced me that they thought I had a glitch w/ my oil pump - which I could not believe - changed oil pump and it started right up). From that day there has been a 80% power lack. Other machinist tried closing the turbo waste gate w/ a pair of pliers, and for the 1st time I could feel a strong air mass coming from the compressor. He needed to stick around to see what happens w/ the IC back in place, and to see if we could get the boost gauge off 0, but he got away before we could do any further testing - thinking he had found my prob. Its only running 13 inches of vacuum (which I know can be a big factor in power loss), but I think I'm getting closer to pinpointing my prob. he is convinced that my actuator is not holding my waste gate closed - naturally could be the reason for BIG power loss - no power at all above 2000 rpm. So the catch is that I have now tried wiring the waste gate in both directions, and can't seem to get any change either way. I am now convinced that it is to be wired towards the actuator, and I will then pull the IC to see if I can feel the same strong air mass coming from the compressor, as it did when he was closing the gate w/ a pair of pliers. Direction?
