My 88 has one that is a little chewed up from neglect by previous owners driving on a wiped out radius arm bushing.

Looking online I see 4wd RA's for 89 and up. Is there a difference with pre-88 and 89-up radius arms?

Thanks

I'm not a guru with this stuff. The physical mounting will be the same. Ranger 2wd and 4x4 don't interchange, the b2...don't know. The shock mounts changed somewhere in those years but I think the same shocks are used. I don't know about b2's, but there is a sway bar that mounts into the arms [maybe only 2wd ranger].

Different shock mount. Newer mounts the shock on a stud older is incorporated into the sway bar bracket. I think they interchange but they are not the same.

I should have noticed the shock mount, I looked at the picture probably a dozen times and I just replaced my shocks on my 88.

If that's the only difference, I'm good.

Yeah no problem. IMO the earlier design with the bracket is better, especially if you're in a rust-belt state, but either one will work (they are the same geometrically).
