My credo
Coming in second just makes you the first loser!
I have a 2007 4.0 4x4 and just picked up a small travel trailer. I want to upgrade the rear suspention to keep it level when towing. I know air bags are probably the best option but the camper is all I tow and we won't be traveling more than 50-60 miles away from home. I was looking at the "Add-A-Leaf" options but from what I've read, the ride becomes much stiffer. I was also looking at air shocks. They seem to be reasonably priced and I can adjust them as needed. I also saw the Sumosprings and thought they might be the way to go! What do YOU think is the best, most reasonably priced, option is?

Get a load leveling hitch it'll be just right and it won't screw your nice factory ride.

I don't think you need to do anything.

My credo
A legend to the old man, a hero to the child...
Air shocks are hell on shock mounts.

I give what muddypunk said a 2nd nod. Get a good weight distribution/sway setup. Even for a small camper. A good crosswind will get hairy with out it.

I use one on my half ton Suburban to tow my wheeler that combo is like 4,500lbs. Tows like a dream almost like it's not really there and living in NW Washington we have steep grades and winding roads. Plus I found one on CL for 100$ which was nice.
