I picked up a '97 F-250 Powerstroke 4x4 extended cab, automatic yesterday. It has 110,xxx original miles on it. The original owner only ever towed his 16' pontoon boat with it. He bought it new in '97.

This is going to be my tow rig and daily driver.

Plans:
- 3" Down pipe to 4" exhaust (getting done on 4/13/11)
- Chip
- Intake
- 2" front leveling kit
- Line-X bed
- Line-X rocker panels

I don't want to do a whole lot to this. Just keep her maintained so she last me a while.

Did you ever get that new rear bumper?
no not yet.....still haven't decided if I wanna make me one, or possibly from LMC Truck.....

I happen to like the stock front bumper, so leaning towards the one from LMC Truck....so I can have a chrome rear as well.......

LMC seems high to me on their bumpers.

I just got this one and the brackets for it from Summit.

My truck didn't have a rear bumper or bumper brackets on it when I bought it. The original owner had put an aftermarket bumper on it since it didn't come factory with a hitch (with a tow package and no hitch). He used the bumper with a ball on it to pull his boat.

My credo
it is easier to fix and understand than "her"
besides the down pipe, i would upgrade the pump and converter to the updated axiom units and a shift kit.

no chip, no injectors etc....just drive the fawker.

best truck to own imo....only way it could be better is as a 350 crew:icon_thumby:

What do you mean upgrade the pump and converter?

I took the cat off today with the new exhaust.

I was going to look at a F-350 crew cab if the deal on this one didn't work out.
