This is my 2nd retrofit. The first one was on my Honda street bike. Retrofitting my truck headlights was much simpler. I got the ballasts, projectors, bulbs, and angel eyes from www.theretrofitsource.com. They are located in Atlanta, GA. The price for all of this shipped was about $375. The red led strips I got from eBay. It's very simple to do, just time consuming.

I put my headlights in the oven at 325*F for about 10 minutes. The glue on the clear headlights is kind of strong. I'm sure it's the same for other Ranger aftermarket lights.

The relay harness for the ballasts is 100% plug and play.

LED strip. I did go back and put black silicone around it before installing:

High beam shield painted black with 500*F engine paint. When the sun hit the projectors it gives off a red glow:

The angel eyes are nice and thin, about 2mm:

This is the wire I used to attach the angel eyes:

Wires ran out the back of the housing. They include the high beam solenoid, angel eye, and led strip wiring:

Everything is labled clearly. This plug is for the high beam solenoid:

The 9007 relay harness. The white and blue wires in the Morimoto plug had to be swapped for proper high beam operation:

Hole sealed:

Power wires for angel eyes and LED strip soldered together:

9006 plug for high beam solenoid installed and blue push-ons for LED angel eyes crimped on:

Ready to go. Here you can see how the angel eye was mounted:

Exposure was turned down:

Angel and demon eyes:

HIDs on:

At this time I don't have any true night time shots. I hope to get some good ones the next few days. If anyone has any questions do not hesitate to ask.

Nice write up. Looks good & well retrofitted. Don't know how I feel about the demon eyes & placement within the housing though.

Holy thread revival but do you remember which projectors you ordered? Looking at going with a set for my truck soon and don't want to spend money on a pair that won't fit perfectly
