Just got them in the mail today, how do I wire these up in my 88 xlt 2.9L 4x4?

I assume the main red and black wires is power and ground, what should I use to connect these?

Also, what are the "accessory" wires up there? They aren't called accessory, I just say that because they seem extra to me. Is that for like high beams or something? They are red and wide respectively, and both have two small wires that end up in the same connector.

Do the original headlights have the same wiring? If so just hook them into the corresponding original wire.

Just wire the city lights to your parking lights........ they will light up when your parking lights are on, but arent super bright, kinda like daytime running lights on the newer cars.....

i didn't wire anything up.. i might when it's not so butt ass cold...

i lost two of the screws (figures my luck) getting the little trim piece out, but i got the drivers side in...

it's like hell trying to get the trim piece out since it has rubber.. and it doesn't help that it's below zero right now.. the rubber is as hard as a rock.

might try putting the other one in tomorrow...

Can you show a picture of the front as well, it will help. Keep in mind black is ground and red is hot. White is up in the air. A picture of the front may help as well as a brand name.

The headlights will just hook up, I had a pair of black ones just like that for my 84... I took them off because the black reflectors reflected cr@p...

I just hooked the extra lights to a switch for giggles but I was going to hook them into the parking lamps or ignition....

I found its pretty much cake to change the headlights when you remove the grill too. :icon_thumby:

Ther is 4 on top you can spot easiely with the hood open, and 3 more in the middle openings one to the left middle and right. Takes me 1 minute to get the grill off and another 5 for the headlights.

great, got my grill off (after breaking one of the tabs.. the lower left one that the screw goes in vertically and is basically like IN the headlight housing... not fair, let's just say that i didn't deem those screws necessary to go back in with reinstall) and got my lights installed. happy with them, and my old lights were off aim by quite a bit maybe? but these seem to be okay

lights off in my driveway:

lights on in my driveway (low beams):
