I have a 1998 ranger 4cyl 5 speed I just purchased the previous owner has removed the catalytic converter. (yes I know it is against federal law, however so is removing the tag from a mattress) I live in a state that does not require a vehicle inspection. Now that I got that out of the way. I have the check engine light staying on and coming back on after I reset it due to the down stream O2 sensor. My question is where can I buy a O2 simulator to bypass this problem or is there any other solution besides removing the check engine light bulb or putting on a new catalytic converter. This is for off road use only on the farm.
