I have a 1988 ranger that I have installed a injected 5.0 HO in it with a tremec 5 speed, it has the original hydraulic clutch master cylinder, can't find a slave cylinder that will release the clutch with out pumping the pedal, the master cylinder don't have enough volume to push the slave cylinder. :headbang:

You can get a master from a different truck that has a bigger bore. I believe if you check out "plumcrazy" 's build he has done this in a slightly different application. Somewhere in the last few days he was talking about it.

but you might want to read more of the thread to make sure it's applicable to your situation. I have a vague memory that he has done a hydroboost system and I don't know what that entails.

External slave?

The volume of the master and of the slave decides how much travel you will have at the slave end.
So slave piston size will matter, to get equal travel you will need equal size pistons, for more travel a smaller piston on the slave, although it will get harder to push in the pedal as slave piston gets smaller

I did find a post with T5 trans using 280z slave and stock '85 ranger master

I think the mid-'90s had 7/8" masters, earlier were 3/4" but not sure.
