Greetings,
My 90 supercab has sprung a leak. The fuel supply line right about in the middle of the tank and the fuel filter has developed a hole and sprays gas when its running.

This is purely a weekend random use truck for odd jobs around the house, so I would like to keep the fix cheap and fast if at all possible.

Would something like this work, maybe not this exact part but something like this
http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_x_9110025-P_x_x?cm_mmc=ACQ-_-Google-_-enhancedRM-_-9110025&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=9110025&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw={keyword}#fragment-2
advice welcomed!
Thanks

also have leak

I have a leak also, and i am under the suspicion that it may be the source of my problem. where the line comes out of the filter there is a plastic tab? thats where my leak is, when it is running. Can this also cause fuel pressure problems and make it seem like you have a pressure regulator problem.... thoughts.

Nope leak is just where it looks like the nylon / rubber fuel line has rotted away, its on a straight piece of line not near the filter or gas tank.

As a temporary fix I've used airline brass barbed fittings. I've also silver soldered miscellaneous brass fittings together to make a fix.
Good luck,

Richard

Your description is a little confusing.. How about a picture?

A leaking rubber hose will just need to be entirely replaced. Easy to do
