Bringing it back from 82

So my grandpa gave me his old 1986 Yamaha Big Wheel 200, it's been sitting in his barn up in Colorado for about 10 years. I managed to get it out and get it running, and it runs well, but not well enough. Its got an oil leak, missing parts, chewed wires, and rat crap all over it. I'm going to start cleaning it and fixing it up, just like new.

As she sits, I cant pick it up till June so you wont see many posts in here by me until then, unless I start ordering parts.

The Honda FatCat wasn't a bad one either. First thing I'm doing with this is giving it a good powerwash.

Woops, I just realized I've been putting 82 for my Big Wheel Stuff when its an 86. Lol!

I love mine. They don't hold much oil, so watch the leak. Mine had a big cam in it when I bought it. When the cam was put in they used stock valve spring, you can't buy the aftermarket ones now. I had to go back to stock. Its fun, but I lost some power for sure. Even now it will hang with the wife's 400ex in a drag race, I can get her top end though. LOL

Well first thing first is it needs a cleaning, its got rat crap everywhere and dirt. Secondly I need to find out where its leaking oil...
Thirdly I need to replace all the wires and get the lights working.
Maybe after that I'll bleach it back to white.
Hopefully the oil leak isn't to serious.
I'll post some pics of it when I get it, and maybe I can get some help on how to fix it.

Well I put oil in the engine, and it leaks out the bottom. At least what I think its doing, I didn't really have time to get a good look at it.

Use some Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer and high mileage Mobil 10w40. Use about 40:60 split between the 2 fluids and run that. hopefully it should stop the leak. Then run it for a couple hours with that new fluid then pull the spark plug and see if it's wet.
