Trying to find a set of 14 inch wheels to fit a 2008 2 wheel drive Ranger. Looking at car-part.com, it shows available, but a couple of sets I've tried don't fit. Does anyone have a truck equipped with 14 inch wheels or know what will fit?

This is for snow tires, have a like-new set from my last truck and would prefer not to replace them.

If you're not making mistakes, you're not learning.
If I recall correctly, the brakes got bigger on the later trucks, and a 14" rim wouldn't fit over them. Of course, those were alloy 14" rims. Steel might have a bit more clearance, but I don't think enough.

Maybe a local yard would let you try and test one? Just change it out in the parking lot and see if it has enough clearance? Any 14" rim would make it clear enough if it will or won't work, especially with the higher offset front wheel drive rims.

I don't think any 14" rims were used after the '99 model year :dunno:

'00 had 15s as standard, even on stripped (base) models, I would think the same would be true for anything later as well.

Yeah, 14" wheels will not clear the front brakes properly. You might get them bolted on, but they will rub the caliper.
