Well I don't have a build thread for eithre of my rigs right now so I figured I'd start one off.

This is my 1999 Ranger, Extended Cab, 4 door, stepside. Its got the 3.0L FF, 5 speed, 4x4, 3.73' gearing with open differentials.

Heres the truck the next day after I picked it up...

I got it with about 80,000 miles on it for 5,000$, it was really clean only a few scratches on the tailgate. :yahoo:

After about a week of the 225's I got tire of the wheels being so tiny so I swapped over the Mickey's and D hole rims onto it. and it looks Awesome!

Then I figured since I had 31's for summer, i had to have 31's for winter and got a set of Wintercat SST's 265's. Let me tell you as a person that just ran Mud tires in the winter these tires are awesome especially with ABS!

And so far I have only don a few things... An exhaust, and some lights and a stereo.

Dynomax exhaust system:

KC 57 series lights:

And these will be going up on top this summer when I build a rack for them.

More to come later today I just gotta find the pictures...

My plans for this truck, seeing as it is going to be my DD/ camper and trail rider is going to keep it mild for now. Heres whats in the making.

Exhaust system - done
Lights - 1/2 done
Mild engine work - plans for an underdrive pulley set, bigger alternator, tuner, 1.7 roller rockers, MAF mod, larger TB. (with eventual plans to swap in a 4.0L or 5.0L)
Limited slip for the front and rear
Mild lift, maybe 1" hockey puck body lift and eventually a Dixon Bros long travel suspension some day.
step up to 32's
swap out to 4.56's
Rubber matting for the floors.
other stuff...? :icon_twisted:

An update on something actually interesting.... Yay!

Got me an Explorer 8.8" with Trac-Loc and 3.73's for 100 bucks that I will be swapping in this summer!

And I got an alternator which I hope is the 130 amp one... can anyone tell I put it up to my old one and its hard to tell. The casing is about 5 1/8" I believe is what I measured.

Well just a few weeks ago I pulled off my tires to rebalance them and noticed why my truck was sitting so low... it had broken springs...

Both springs were broken in the same spot, Heres the back all broken... and seperated'

and heres the unbroken side,

So.... I put on Explorer Leaf Springs! :headbang:

Theres about 2" of lift over what I assume the stock height would have been and I can probably fit 35's pretty easily now... But i am going with some 33x10.50 BFG KMT 2's.

I also have installed a 1" body lift for the extra room and now I need to replace the body bushings cause you can tell they are worn on the driver side.

Love the truck, that front bumper design looks badass! Reminds me of a futuristic tank or military armored vehicle!

Keep up the good work.

Well A recent update is that I have aquired a Manual 1354 T case, and I still haven't gotten my axle perches welded up. The truck is currently sitting in Homer so when I head down I'll get the case thrown in and finally be rid of the horrible electric T case.

Also had a little adventure since it rained so much. Well... it didn't turn out too well. Went 4 wheeling about 2 am and I took a corner a little fast, and slid into some pretty deep muck. And thanks to open differentials and a sluggish t case I got stuck.
