Hello my water pump is leaking badly. I have been running through gallons of anti freeze all winter. Now it is time to change it but I dont know how to get the fan clutch off. I have researched it and cannot find a video anywhere for my particular vehicle. all i am getting is confused. I have an 06 xlt ex cab 4x4 with a 4.0 . I have seen video where all work was done with the rad still in the vehicle. But that was also on pre 2000 vehicles. Can someone give me a simple answer to this problem. Thanks

I know its been awhile since you posted this so i hope you got your issue resolved. but in case you didn't, I just pulled mine off today and had issues getting it off as well. there is a special tool required that holds the pulley on the water pump and then you use a 36 mm wrench to loosen the nut between pulley and the fan. hope this helps.
