Doesn't look bad to me.

Be sure to slather up the bolts good with anti-seize. I just busted one of my bolts last night 12 years after I put the kit in trying to change the body mount bushings.

Musicstation:

The kit looks good.

You may wish to add a "gap guard'' filler - personal preference depending on if you like see the gap between box and fender or not.

Some do, I did not because to me it it goes from having a gap to someone trying to hide that there is a gap.

Totally personal preference though. It doesn't bother me as much as it does others though.

Does cab body lift actually help with clearance when you have to pull a transmission? Seems like a worthwhile side benefit

Yes, definitely. One of the huge benefits to me was easier access to the top bolts of the transfer case after the engine swap.

When we swapped out my m5od it was me that had to crawl across the top of the engine and put the two top bolts in other than that I didn't think they were that difficult,. but the crossover pipe, although it supported the engine by resting on the crossmember it was a beach trying to get the transmission over it because it kept hitting the underside of the firewall hump.

You know those top two bellhousing bolts that require about 3' of extensions and 2 wobbles?

I removed them with a flex head gear wrench from above. :icon_thumby:

Leaps and bounds easier and I have a bigger bellhousing than stock too.

Just being able to reach above the frame rail is a godsend for working on a truck. You won't know what I am talking about until you do it. It makes going back to working on a stock truck in a JY a PITA.

Not to hijack your thread, but what year is your ranger and do you have a link to this body lift? I am looking to get a 3" body lift for my 96 ranger 4x4. I want to get all the parts needed in one kit. Steering extension, gas filler neck tube etc... does this kit have all of those parts?
