So this is not immediate but here it goes:

I have a '92 Ranger that I purchased last December. It has been setting in the driveway while I tore it apart to replace the cracked headlight surrounds. While I was at it, I also took off the fenders, bumper and grille. This was in March-April.

Now I'm gonna blame this on TBI from an Iraq injury but also a slight case of "This happens all the time." I don't know the sequence to put it back together. I don't have access to a parts manual that would give me an engineered view. Any assistance is appreciated. This will get "Congress" off my back as I put in an approprations bill and she vetoed it with the addendum: "Get the Ranger together and we'll revisit the bill." Please help me. I have a "Pork" laden appropriations bill that is begging to be funded before Christmas.

PS: Been lurking around here for over 5 years since I've owned 4 new Rangers and many used ones.

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
You may find a good "exploded view" drawing on LMC trucks website.

Otherwise, if it were me, I would reinstall fenders then headlight surrounds, then grill and bumper last. But that is just a guess based on my '93 which doesn't have headlight surrounds.

In a pinch, you can register for a free account at AutoZone, and look up free service manual info for your truck on their website. It's not quite as extensive as a full factory service manual, but it's quite a bit better than a Chilton's or Haynes manual.
