Well, here I am.

I've always been a gamer and PC enthusiast, so i'm pretty new to this automotive stuff. My roommate helps me out most of the time.

enough about me though, I should also introduce my truck and the reason I'm on this forum.

Nice, red interior. Dash is cracked to hell though

Welcome to TRS~!

Nice looking first generation Ranger. Reminds me of the second one I bought to replace my original. Same seats too...and I used them for 12 years without any problems...very comfortable except the neck support was a bit short for me.

I guess there is a meaning behind the name...but the word "dank" brings visions of wet and musty...lol

I agree about the seats. Drove her from Norman to Stillwater and back (3 hours round trip) and never get sore or anything.

Also I really like the look of the first gen!

Welcome DT!

Questions for the experts here: Were those buckets seats a separate option when new? Or did they come with the STX package? And, is this '86 an STX?

My 1988 was not an STX but came with those seats in the trim package ordered by the original owner. I think they were only available on the extended cab because I've never seen them in a regular cab. Not that I've seen everything mind you but every regular cab up to 1992 I'd ever seen had a bench seat and after 1993 they had the 60/40 split bench.

I think someone actually posted a trim package that listed all the options on the early models but I couldn't find it in the "Other Articles" section at the top.

Nah, my Ranger isn't an STX. I was curious about the bucket seats too. They might have just been a random checkbox on a dealership stocking form.
