My passenger side headlight randomly went out yesterday. I had a ddm tuning hid light in there. I know it isn't the light itself because I put the stock bulb back in, and it didn't work either. I checked the fuses already and none of them are popped. Has this happened to anyone else? What can I do to fix this?

A lot of those aftermarket HID kits are cheaply made and crap out for no real reason. You may be out of luck

Double check your connections and make sure your stock bulb is good and that you have power going to the socket. Also check to see if your high beams work with your stock bulbs back in.

Sweet, thank you. That is helpful. I know I checked one of the fuses and it was good. But, I will check them both to be sure.

also if you had HID's in there, you had a ballast that changes the voltage to the bulb(much higher). You cannot then put a halogen in there and have it work.

Lol yea, a standard bulb won't even plug into an HID ballast.

I would check the fuses first, and then start troubleshooting the wiring. From what you've said, it doesn't sound like a bulb or ballast failure. HID kits use about 3x the amperage when they first fire up from cold, so if you're not careful then that can blow fuses. You might also check for a bad ground, or even the plug or something. I would presume that if the relay was bad then both sides wouldn't work, but I guess you could check that. Otherwise, I'm not sure what else to say.

you can get HID's that fit standard halogen plugs and such.

New update. I found out that if I have my lights set to high beams the stock bulb will turn on. Are there different fuses for the high beam and low beam bulbs?

Pretty sure they use the same fuse. Sounds like you have a connection issue or the low beam filament is bad. You can hold the bulb up to a light and look for a broken filament.
