ok guys, so i have replaced heads, all new gaskets, timing chain and gears, cam sync. and crank sensor, truck runs but hard to start and misses, after starting truck this evening and looking around i noticed that both of the exhaust pipes coming off the manifold were glowing red. i will assume that the cat is clogged. will this explain the miss in engine and hard starting:icon_confused:

most of the time glowing red manifold is a sign fuel is being dumped in the engine with out hitting the gas pedal.

before pulling the cat try to pressure test the fuel system turn it on with the pressure gauge attached. don't start it and see how long it holds the fuel pressure with key off. some people like me have a hard time with injector pintles getting stuck when in stalling back in the engine.

"like me " if the pressure falls tap each injector with like a wrench or a long screw driver. till the pressure does not fall at all. i had to use a adjustable wrench a 12 inch taping fairly hard. it sounds like the cat-converter is doing it job by lighting the extra fuel. that why the cat is glowing red. that or the timing is off ? but i do not think so.
