Well I finally got the coilovers in! It's been an ongoing project for a while. I had to wait like 4 months to get them cause fox is slow as ****. Worth the wait though.

Fox 2.0 remote reservoirs custom valved for trails
Eibach 750lb coils
Daystar Bump stops
Also new upper ball joints and CVs

The truck rides awesome now and I gained a solid 4" of ground clearance by removing the superlift torsion bar drop brackets :headbang:

Still have to get some adjustable clevis's for the limit straps and get different brake lines. These ones hit my coils when turning. I also bent the superlift diff brackets so they are sending me new ones. Then the truck will be done...:icon_rofl:

My M5OD-R1HD Swap has begun...well except the tranny part. Got the interior pieces all together yesterday just for fun. Still have to source the big parts. Tranny, PCM, Harness, Flywheel, Clutch, Starter etc. Gonna be rockin dual shifters for a while.

And it turns out the superlift diff brackets aren't so strong after all. I bent them when I broke my CV a little while back. Shifted the diff over to the passenger side about 3/4". Luckily they have great customer service and sent me new brackets under warranty. Im gonna have these ones reinforced.

Thanks! Still lots more to do.

Not a lot happening with the truck lately. I went on a good wheeling trip a couple weeks back and the rear was rubbing bad. So I did some minor fender trimming. Gonna make some bigger mud flaps and will get pics once thats done.

Ive been studying wiring diagrams for the M5od swap and I think I have it figured out. Actually doesnt seem that complicated but we'll see how it goes. The tranny, starter and PCM are sitting on my shop floor. Ill be ordering the last pieces of the puzzle soon. (Clutch, Master and Slave, Flywheel)

In the meantime I still have a bad clunk coming from somewhere that I gotta figue out. Its driving me crazy.

Oh ya and Im at a toss up between doing a SAS in the future or just throwing a Torsen in the front and enjoying that. Time will tell. Knowing me Ill do the torsen and then still SAS it sometime down the road haha

A few updates. My front diff is in the shop right now getting a Torsen installed. Pretty stoked on that. Got some snow chains but haven't been able to try them out yet. And last but not least I bought a Roof Top Tent! Smittybilt Overlander sitting on a Thule Xsporter rack which I cut down to bring the tent flush with the roof of the truck. Camping is gonna be great :icon_thumby:

Woohoo snow wheeling! Truck does amazing with the new front diff and snow chains. Massive improvement. It just plows through 2-3 ft of snow like nothing. :headbang:

My credo
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are different.
I NEED some of that snow action. I miss snow.

Curious how the chains worked on your snow run? My wheeling buddies all swear running 4 psi is better than chains

Oh man, this is a front page feature vehicle!

Did you make your own brackets for the coilovers, or did you buy some that someone else made?

Do you have a photo of the roof top tent setup and ready to camp that's not in your driveway? I want to write it up and put it on the front page as an adventure vehicle.

Also, if you have more photos from your coilover swap, I could use those to update some info.

Thanks!

No i didnt actually. The tent was only on because I just installed it and had no where else to store it. But since then I built a shelf for it in the garage.

Well I was at around 6 PSI without chains for half the day and was doing pretty good. But once i got to some hill climbs it just wasn't cutting it anymore. So i threw the chains on and away we went. It was only 2-3 ft deep so I was able to dig down to dirt and get traction without getting completely high centered. In deeper snow I would say wider tires with low pressure would be better. They would allow you to float on top rather than dig your self a hole.

No not yet. I have most of the parts but I'm in no hurry. Ill get around to it one day when I get bored. For now I dont mind the auto. I was kinda hoping it would blow up so I have a good reason to pull it out haha.
