Greetings and hoping I can get some help.

My 2010 manual Ranger is stuck in 4 low, and despite trying all of the online suggestions it's still there. My dealer cannot get me in until late next week so...I thought I'd try fixing it myself. (insert laughter here).

I have an idea the transfer module is bad. I normally hear a click or two as it switches but absolute silence now. I removed my glove box hoping to see it but it's not there.

Does anyone know where I can locate it and does this sound like a good starting point for me to fix.

P.S. My stability control light remains on.

Thank you for your assistance
Sincerely, Parked on the street.

If you're looking for the 4wd module, if I'm not mistaking, it's behind the radio, just toward the left a little bit, that's where mine is, but my truck is older, so yours could be somewhere else.
You could try taking the shift motor off the transfer case and turn the t-case back to 2wd with a pair of pliers so you can drive it while you track down the problem.
The 4wd module is a good bet, but it could be the shift motor too.

Go underneath the truck. And unplug the big connector on the transfer case. This will unlock it and put it back into 2 wheel drive for now. Sounds like a stuck motor

Great News Update. I got back into 4H

We were told to do the following...
Back up at least 10 feet.
Place in neutral.
Alley parking brake.
Step on the brake.
Engage the clutch.
Turn switch back and forth a few times but give it time in-between to allow it to switch.

I greatly appreciate your reply's, I was dreading going into the garage for this.
