So...there I was...looking down at the master cylinder and wondering why the reservoir plug wouldn't come out...the wires came off in my hand when I tried to pop it off so I just left it for later...as in now...because I need to bleed the brakes.

Tried pulling it out gently...then used a bit more force...then broke out the pliers to mash it...:icon_confused:

Then I realized that the plug is not like my old one...the connector was already out and I was mashing the back end of the connector...:bawling: and now I need to figure a way to replace it...or rig the wiring the way the PO had done by jamming the wires into the back end connector...:annoyed:

Anyone else had to replace that sensor? I know I could live without it but it actually came in handy on my Tempo as it told me I was out of brake fluid...even though I mistook that as a problem with the parking brake...

I'm thinking this is going to require removing the brake master cylinder and a whole new adventure for our hero ...so I'm not looking forward to it at all...any tips would be appreciated...

Do you have a pic of the connector that you need to fix? There is a retail/wholesale electrical supply shop close to me and I go there for solenoids, relays, and various crimp on supplies. The crimp ons include various ends to fix wiring issues like you describe.

Cool, I will have to wait till the rain stops. I think I have one on the 2.0 wiring harness that I have, but not sure if it's the same...will post a pic when I can get out there.

Sorry for the delay...

That is the front view...

I think they are very similar on all Rangers...this one has only two wires.
