ok i have a 1983 2wd 2.3 4 speed ranger, i just installed 89-97 belltech drop beams with a set of 95 spindles with the dual piston calipers.

The write up states that i need a 1995-1997 ABS brake hose for a 83-88 truck.

on to my questions...

1. So when i look on autozones web site they offer 2 brake hose for a 95 2wd ranger one with 4 wheel abs and 1 with 2 wheel abs, so what one do i need? if anyone has a part number that would be great also.

2. what brake hose do i need for the pass. side, stock 83 one,95-97 one, or are they the same, ect, ect ?

1) You will need the 4-wheel ABS hose. The left 2 wheel ABS hose has an extra port at the frame end that the hardline for the right side attaches to. In your truck the hardline splits and goes to each side before it gets to the frame attachment, so you don't need the extra port.

2) According to specs I have found, they seem to have the same fitting sizes and the same length. By that you could use either hose and be fine. For that matter, those specs suggest that you can probably use hoses for a first gen on both sides with no problem. That said I would probably recommend using the 95-97 hose due to design.

In my case, the hoses for 95-97 were clearly longer.
