I just bought a trailer for my ranger 99 xlt and quickly found out it doesn't have tail light hookups for the trailer.

my questions is, can this be a DIY project for me, with a bit of electrical and mechanical experience or should this be something i should have installed?

if i can do it, can you point me to a kit and a DIY guide?

Thanks!

You can get plug and play kits. They have instructions in them. I think you can get them for $25-$30 from an auto parts store.
