You guys wanting to turbo your trucks. Well they make a EEC adapter for megasquirt. Almost plug and play and have cheap full standalone control. I have always wondered why I never hear anything about it on this forum since megasquirt is setup to run edis and people retrofit it to other engines. It also works on TFI engines. http://www.diyautotune.com/tech_articles/megasquirting_your_ford_with_the_MegaEFI_EEC-IV_adapter.htm I bet with this you could probably run a safe 8-10 psi on a stock 4.0 ohv.

For OBD 2 trucks, most go with something like an SCT xcal tuner with custom written tunes. It's much easier to just plug in a tuner, and 'upload' your custom tune into the factory PCM, than running a standalone.

I'd been running Megasquirt on my 2.3 liter Supertruck. Mine is a fully tuned system, complete with the wiring harness adapter. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Anupaum, I'm interested in your conversion. I'm planning to plug in a MSII PCBv3 to my '88 Ford Ranger using the EEC-IV adapter board.

In the process of soldering the PCB together. Step 23, testing the voltages. I'm seeing 7.42v instead of 9v, but my 9v battery is weak at 8.83 volts. Working on getting a 12v 300ma power supply for it.

Did you use a JimStim to test your MegaSquirt?
