One thing most wheelers carry is a hilift jack. It seems like every time it is used the jack has a tendency to slide on the sliders and seems very unstable. I built the bracket below to help grab onto my sliders and hopefully make it more stable.

Here is the bracket.

It mounts onto the jack with a 1/2" bolt holding it to the jack.

Here is how it latches onto the sliders. Mine are 1.5" tube. I forgot to account for the weld on the back side so version two will be changed there.

Here it is lifting the truck. For the front I carry a chain to limit wheel travel so I don't have to jack so high.

Toss it in the toolbox and hopefully I will never have to test it for changing a tire.

Made a few modifications to this to make it more useful.

First I went to a "V" shape so it would fit different size tubes. I also added a second hole and made it reversible. There are 4 ways this can be used now.
First is on the slider tube and the spacer tube. It can be mounted on the fist or second hole depending on if you need clearance to clear the body.

The third and fourth is flipped around just on the slider tube. This allows for more clearance between the jack and body.

Here it is shown on 1.75" tube joint.

Here it is on my Wife's cj7 jeep sliders. They are much larger in diameter then designed but I think it is better then without.

I think it turned out really great, Bro!!! It looks real sturdy and should hold up really well after a lot of use. Test it out a bunch and see how it holds up. I would Powder Coat it and make many more and put them up on Ebay and a few Offroad web sites if I were you. I just gave my Hi-Lift to a buddy who could not a afford one. He and his wife just had a kid two months ago. I hope I never need one now that I gave it away....lol.

I like it. I'll be copying that idea.

Frankly I like the idea, but I disagree that powder-coating would be an improvement.

I'd rather see it plated.

Or galvanized...

The idea of powder-coating is a novel one in industry but the end result in everything turning into crumbly rust...
