Check out this thread for further updates!

This is basically a copy/paste of my intro thread but without the intro
inb4 some people say "but arent you essentially taking (insert username here)'s ideas?" Yes, some of the things i do have been done before, i may have even got the idea to do it based off of what ive seen here. That doesnt mean i dont give thanks and credit where its due...

My Truck
2003 FX4 4.0l V6 "Blue Steel"
(yes thats a zoolander reference)

We are all silver baby!

Need to tune up the engine, inside and out, I can hear not good noises, probably going to do a couple little power adding tweaks while I'm in there (hell, i may just grab a 5.0 from an exploder)

Completed projects are at the bottom with "old head images"

Modifications I'd like to make in packages

Kit One
Torsion kit suspension lift + 2in body lift and leveling kit (approx $500)
replace front, and if necessary rear, drive shaft (metallic clicking sound emanates from it at low speeds, possibly a welding blob came loose, hopefully it can be removed, if not, shaft will be replaced)
install 33in tires ($$OUCH$$)

Kit Two (probably the first to be accomplished)
Aftermarket intake ($265)
Aftermarket exhaust (Done!)
Tuner chip ($280)
Throttle Body Spacer ($125)

Kit Three
Install second battery in parallel or even in a way to separate the cab from the engine (electronically) and look into options for backup solar power

Kit Four
Real brush guard (with min 5k lbs winch)
LED Roof Bar ($300-800)

Misc Work to be done that isnt necessary but nice

Install LED Headlights, Fog Lights, Taillights and Third Brake Light

Off road lights (in behind grill) and backup lights as i do a lot of driving in the county at night (Have lights for grill and also some reverse flood lights! also have wires and relays)

Reverse Floods done!

in doing my research and trying to figure out where to put switches, i realize i dont want to crowd my dash and began looking at other locations in the drivers reach and i stumbled upon this gem by Jim Oaks
i have the exploder overhead!

Bed illumination (in progress, back up and running, gotta plan and parts!)

Upgrade audio system (investigating and saving)
New speakers (2/4 done)
New stereo (Done)
Ground loop isolator and embed an aux port in dash (DONE! LOOKS SICK AS HELL!)
Subwoofers & amp
Have found a very nice low profile, downward firing setup that will fit underneath pilot seats, I predict $500 to fully upgrade stereo system

I also want to install a shortwave cb radio system

COMPLETED PROJECTS

Also would like to figure out why door ajar warning comes on when no doors are ajar (found, common problem, gets dirty and stuck)

Cab illumination upgrade (complete, looking to modify)

Side note, would like to replace existing interior lights with led-direct-fit replacements and install moar strips and on/off switches

Paint Grille either Chrome or Black (New one is Black, staying that way!)

replace existing mirrors with 2006 model year mirrors

(DONE!) (thanks 02Fx4Red!

Old Head Images

2003 FX4 4.0l V6
Mostly stock (just got it a couple years ago and haven't been financially able to seriously modify)
Did replace bed as I got in an argument with a power pole a couple winters ago and I won
Need to re/pair/place passenger front fender and bumper due to the power pole fight and some spineless bastard hit my truck and ran

How much for your fender flares with shipping after you wreck it, to 37184? Yes. That was a serious question. Thanks.

what do you mean "after you wreck it" i already did but its still good, only problem is that A) ive heard if the fender isnt already broken from the person backing into me the other day, removing it tends to break the plastic clips rendering the flair more useless than a fart in a spacesuit
and
B) if you really want them i have to tell you that front are stock abs non-painted and the rear are painted and smooth
finally
C) if you still want them i will try to be careful when i remove them to send it to the shop and we will see where to go from there! i understand why you are interested in them

UPDATE

I spent the last 2 days painting and installing the 2006 mirrors and i must say, aside from the funky way the mirrors move im more than pleased with the work!

the exhaust has finally given up after 170,000 miles. Good excuse to replace with a better sounding one!

Lots of companies
K&N for starters
Go to Amazon or eBay and search for it, you'll get hundreds of results
Let me know if you find a good one for less than 180 bucks
