Yes. That is the plenium and valve. Totally carbon packed. Cleaned it all up, fixed the broken pipe with a galvenized coupler, and guess what? No more EGR codes ....
But still down on power...
Ok now, onto the one im scared a bit to tackle....
Code #18...Spout circuit grounded/IDM fault/no tach signal...
I tested ohms at the SPOUT connector, im not great with a multimeter but one side had a huge 4 digit number and the other side had a smaller 3 digit number....
So, i yanked the spout and went for a drive, truck was about as weak as could be, backfired, floored to even get close to 55, and just in general ran like shit.
So correct me if im wrong, but that should mean the timing is in fact, advanceing correct?
If it is advanceing, and since i got a large amount of ohms at the spout it shouldnt be a wireing issue correct?
I read online a bad TFI can kick that code, but it runs fine, its just nutless. The only thing it does is, if you wrap it out in say, 2nd, let off the throttle, and not mash the clutch it its smooth for a bit, but then it pops and cracks, and when you do put the clutch down it acts like it wants to stall untill you hit the skinny pedal a time or two. Then its fine. Could this be a IAC issue? Or related to code 18?
Help is apperciated.
