Hello. I have a broken down ford 1990 ranger 2.3 5 speed in my driveway. I just got a really nice 1986 ranger 2.9 auto from my grandpa with lots of miles on it, but runs great. I wasn't able to find any good info about swapping the 2.3 manual trans to the 2.9 auto. Do the bolts fit? Will the truck have too much power for the transmission to handle?

Thanks!

Different bolt patterns... It won't work.
