What is a good replacement for a non-lifted V6 4x4 reg cab. I replaced the worn out ones with the cheapest Oreilly Monroe option. I think they are dead as you can push on the truck and watch it bounce.

Not looking for expensive but just a nice ride that will last a while. Anyone have any experience to share with fair priced good riding shocks.

Yeah figured that would be the opinion. I have run them on other rigs and they are nice. Fronts are about 114 each at the local shops. I may have to Amazon and see what I can find.

I highly recommend SkyJacker's Hydro 7000 Shock absorbers.

Where are you buying your parts? The last time I bought a set of KYBs I paid $34 a piece.

That price was out of Autozone I believe.

KYB's choices are a little limited on the rear. Looks like I can only get a GR2 twin tube. Front I have the choice of GR2 and a gas-a-just mono also a heavy duty monotube. Thought about doing a gas-a-just mono in the front and the only option for the back, GR2. Not going to make the ride funky with a mono in front and a twin out back is it?

Just picked up a steering stabilizer from Skyjacker. I'll take a look at those shocks.

It was probably 10 years ago now, but I bought a set of GR2s from Fisher/Federated for about $35 a piece. I think they were $34 front and $36 rear.

I ended up ordering SkyJacker's Hydro 7000 Shocks was only 40 bucks more than a set of KYB's. Figured it was worth the extra coin. Also down the road when I throw a lift under it I can keep the front shocks and get the front coils, AAL, and rear shocks. I plan on getting the 2" lift as I don't need anything bigger and the front shock can be used for that too.

Yup sure am! Pretty easy job, takes about 20 mins for the shocks. While I am under there I am going to do my radius arm bushings and sway bar bushings. Oh and my steering stablizer, almost for that I bought one of those lol. That might be a sign that I have been buying to much lately! Starting to forget whats coming.
