Another day and just another LITTLE tthing accomplished! Haha...

Got my passenger seat out (along w/ ALL the "center seatbelt crap"

Tomorrow , I'll pull out the drivers "60" piece and start tearing out the carpet. I plan to get new carpet... Now's a good time to do so IMO!

Well, as some of you may know, I wrecked the Ranger about a month ago .

That said, I havent fiddled with it much since, heres the parts i will need before i can have her back on the road! (Most of this was guna be done either way, bbut NOW I have a REASON!

- 2 new "beefier" motor mounts
- New crossbar and transmission mount
- New oil filter and oil change
- New Radiator WITH built in electric fans (delete clutch driven fan)
- Front PLASTIC bumper w/ the foglights and a lip
- 2 New HID Headlight Assemblies
- New hood (maybe with SMALL rise in the middle )
- New "Mesh Style" Grill

Then I can hoist up the motor/tranny and move it BACK to its motor mounts, then finish off everything else, once the motor is running again!

So... This is going to stall my build for a WHILE! Once I get her back right though, she'll look mean as hell with the 16x8 Diamond Racing Steelies, plus all the other new goodies!!! I've also got my Crown Suspension 3" springs for the front and my DJM flip kit (plus shackle flip) for the @$$ end!!!

So I'll be riding in a low/clean/freshly painted Ranger while my carbureted '88 Mustang Block and Head are being built!

Just thought I'd update! Cheers mates!

STILL DOING THIS BUILD EVENTUALLY, I JUST WANT IT IN A CAR ( ESCORT GT! ) OR SOMETHING OLDER.... LIKE AN OLDER BOX STYLE RANGER!

THAT SAID, TH 97 is still being BUILT, BUILT at 250hp on an 87 T-bird Turbo Coupe motor!

Motors in the process of getting rebuilt EVERYTHING and the head/intake mani worked! Truck is in the middle of getting the old 8 plug motor out and finishing up some MUCH needed body work PLUS I'm painting the entire truck and motor. Everything from the floorboards (after i strip out the carpet!), to the engine bay and frame!!!! All flat black, for now atleast!

Will post pictures SOON!

haha...well...why am I laughing...oh, yes...mine sat for about 5 years and during that time I put about $400 worth of parts into it without the luxury of driving it...because it still wasn't finished...had to have it towed 3 times and each tow would usually cost me about $100 a shot or more...

I ended up bribing the driver from my roadside service club...who are ONLY supposed to tow licensed and insured vehicles (which my Ranger was neither for this five years) so it only cost me about $150 in 'bribes'...

So...keep at it...it will be worth it...:icon_thumby:

I'm going to keep on pushing on! Almost done rebuilding the 87 Turbo Coupe Motor!

I love the Ranger and its still a GREAT base, but I CANNOT FIND THE INFO ON HOW TO WIRE IT ALL UP, as I'm switching BACK to OBD1 on an OBD2 truck! No tune. Straight STOCK motor FOR NOW!

THAT SAID, I found a MINT 1989 2.3L Mustang LX Notchback (that doesn't run and I DON'T NEED IT TO!) for a mere $800!!! I'm trying desperately to find the $$ RIGHT NOW! Because my DREAM car is either a Notchback 5.0 or even BETTER an "SVO Notchback"!!! :icon_surprised:

you should have stayed with the injectors you can get much more power out of injectors than you can with a carb just go bigger and adjust computer accodingly(spp).i would putr an injected motor against a carbed motor any time, the carbs are affected by outside influices but injectors are not to a point.
