You can get a big kit with all of the security type bits, screwdrivers, posi bits, etc, for like $10 at Harbor Freight.

It's not this little guy is it? If it is, there are no special tools outside of a small screw driver to push through a little hole that releases it:

I got mine out with a snug fitting 1/4" drive socket...

Changing that switch solved a lot of problems for me.
