I noticed the oil leak before but just thought it was the oil pan but now it's higher up and I just want to know if it should be replaced soon or if there is anything I can do to milk this rear main seal out if that is the problem any help is appreciated thanks.

Rear main seal issue will generally cause an oil leak from the bell housing inspection cover.
So oil won't show up on the engine, but between engine and trans.

"Higher up" reads like a valve cover, but type of engine would be helpful information.

Lucas oil treatment helps soften and swell the "rubber" seals in an engine, while it can't stop a leak it can slow it down.
