Lost two passenger side locking hubs

The only thing I can see there is the teeth on the shaft look worn to me. Just like the teeth inside the hub.

If you can run your fingernail over the machined surface on the spindle and can't feel any ridges it's probably good. It seems pretty unlikely that something would be worn perfectly smooth.

The splines might be a little bit worn. Are you thinking that under torque, it slips in the hub when locked?

Joe, do you have a picture of the washers, lockouts, and retainer clips that you are using? The axle has to stay extended and engaged...

i still might think the spindle axle needle bearing might partially be at fault... part of the trouble of not diagnosing in person...

My first ninja. Awesome.

It definitely seems like the shaft is sliding in and out of the hub quite a bit. Does it even have the c-clip installed?

the retaining clip / circlip that goes on the axle shaft itself.

C clip and splined washer were installed. The splined washer shows signs of the axle moving and abrading the washer on the splidle. Gonna put the new spindle bearing and seal in anyways and see if it helps.
