I made another post about my CEL.

One was a IAC and one was misfire cyl 3. I cleaned the IAC and that code is gone for now, but I am still getting a blinking cyl 3 misfire.

Whats wierd is that I can clear the codes by disabling the battery, and it will run fine, smooth, and no codes for a while...then it comes back and its backing to no power and blinking,

PO did plugs and wires but I have not double checked gap, and I need to test coils.

Now the urgency comes from the fact that reseting it is a temp fix, does that point one way or another to what could be casing the misfire?

What engine?????

Blinking CEL means urgent issue.
If computer reboot relieves the misfire temporarily then problem is most likely electronic, but..............engine type would narrow down what it might be.
Could be coil, or CPS, or even computer

Ron D is giving good advice. If #3 spark plug is easy to remove take it out and see what it looks like. Last persistent mis-fire was a burnt #4 exhaust valve in a CRV. A compression test revealed it. In your case, a test would probably eliminate bad compression. That would increase the likelihood the trouble was electrical
