Default 1977 f150 4x4

ok im fixing to get a 77 f150 4 wheel drive with a 4 speed, and a 351modified. it has the 9 inch rear end, dont know what the front axle is anyway, how does the 351 m do powerwise something like 160hp. it has 3.50 gears and the guy said hes pretty sure it has limited slip. he also said it had a 4 inch lift on it from the factory, all i know is it sets up pretty hi and its only on 235s. how big a tire can i fit under here if it has a 4 inch lift. and is the front axle strong enuff to weld the diff. for river running and mudbugs. should i swap the modified out for a bigger bigblock or run it till it blows. let me know thanks.

those 351m's are good strong motors would be good for trail running but not so much high rpm mud stuff. the front axle is prolly a dana 44

its got a flatbed on it so i dont have to worry about the back tires rubbing just on the bottom of the bed, and i can trim the fenders.

u could prolly clear a bigger tire but they would have no place to go when u flex it unless u cut out the fenders. wouldnt be hard to lift it tho cuz its a solid axle.

what trans do you have? theres a good chance a BB will bolt right up. broncograveyard.com has 429/460 swap kits for those trucks.
