Increasing lift

I have a 1995 Ranger XLT 4.0 with a 4" Rough Country lift. It just put a hole in my differential and i dont want it to happen again. Is there anything stopping me from just buying the springs in the link below and new springs for the rear, as opposed to buying a whole new lift? id like to save some money on this if i can. I want to get around 6" of lift, and then put an inch or two of body if i feel its necessary.

adjust your bumpstops, and you wont poke a hole again.

you can get some coil spacers to go under the coils and get another inch or 2 of lift and still get a decent alignment.

for the rear you can get a chevy drop shackle (belltech 6400) for a little more lift.

i already have spacers...but it seems to really kill my wheel travel, would much rather go with new springs. cuz my current 4" springs have sagged

You'll need a spacer (piece of square or rect. tubing, etc.) to lower the bumpstop down with so it stops the diff before striking the bracket (attach spacer to frame, attach bumpstop to spacer).

A much better idea though would be to get rid of that drop plate bracket for something better.

Is your truck a Supercab? If so, those springs would probably work on your setup, though I suspect you'd be happier with a set of Skyjacker 6" coils (not as stiff).

I'd also swap the rough country drop plates for some skyjacker drop brackets. You can get those separate from the kit also.

Ok, i was actually wondering if i should swap the drop brackets with skyjacker. which one should i get? the ones for the i beams? the one for the radius arms? or both?

1.) get the skyjacker brackets from TRS... support our forum man.

Good idea

Stonecrusher uses heims on their steering, just make sure they're legal where you are before ordering.
