Getting closer to finishing sas just have a few more things to get done. like Steering box which will be done this week, brakes lines and driveshafts. So far it has a dann 44 front with 5.13 gears and a spool with a total rebuild. the rear 60 also has 5.13 gear with spool, Disc brake conversion.
Suspension is custom bracket in front with rancho 44044 springs, rear is 6in springs with a 5in block and custom shackles. Been working on her since june and hoping to be done by mid Dec. and been doing almost all the work myself.
Have afew more pic in my gallerie and alot more i have to down load yet.

My issue right now is figuring out how to mount the shackle. Did you put a cross member between the brackets or box in the frame or just weld the bracket to the c channel and call it a day?

From what I can see on my truck, a cross member won't work cuz the driveshaft and catalytic converted will hit it. I don't have access to a tube bender so forming around that is out of the question. Any close up picks?

Did you happen to get any pics that could help me out?

The brackets from ruff stuff, are they made for the ranger sas swap or did you have to modify it because I know the full width leafs are outboard of the ranger frame.

The front mount is a piece of cake. It's the shackle mount that's posing questions

That is really wide. Did you relocate the perches on the axle? I measure the shackles on the f250 today and it seems to mount right under my frame rails. Yours is about 3 inches outside the rails

I think your build looks good. Are you planning on running any type of traction bars? when i had the stock ranger springs and a 4 inch block i had a huge problem with axle wrap. So its something i would look into.

no i did not relocate the perches. The axle i am using is a 92 dana 60, so there is not much room to move the perch on the driver side. It could be the difference in frame width sense mine is a 1st gen.
edit. My spring width is 36.5 in. plus you are probably using s 70's axle right? If so then you probably measured around 31.5 in. which on my truck would be about right under my frame rails as well.

You have to set up a photo bucket account and then you take the url and copy and paste it into the message.
