Built it last summer, it is now into storage for all winter but for the best, it should come out pretty crazy next year. Going 7/9 drop and around 400 whp on built 97 engine.

Heres a few pics, and some videos.

This is the first start:

And around 5 psi run.

Didn't go over 7 lbs of boost yet on it, only had time to do like 1200 kms on the freshly built engine.

I like the wheels. Not so much the pony sticker. The bars are advanced warning your about to smack a curb at a 7/9 drop:icon_rofl: 400hp 2.3t? We need details dude!

:icon_rofl: AHAH yeah if you see it that way:icon_thumby:

The pony stickers and bars were on the truck when I bought it so I kept it like that for now. I like the style the step bars give to the truck, even if they have no utility at all. For whats from the stickers, some people like them and some other tell me to remove them, I personaly don't hate them, it gives the truck something more, plus people are probably like :icon_confused:WTF:icon_confused: I just got passed by a ranger with some horse stickers on the side?? ahah, I am keeping the stickers for now.

I didn't have so much time when I posted the thread, so heres the list of things I have done on the truck for now... It was 140 000km when I bought it and was auto, I drove it 400 km then started the project, swapped to the m50d.

Engine.
-Holset Hy35 turbo
-Bo-port stage 1.9 camshaft
-GM LS6 valve springs with cavalier retainers
-Custom made intake and ported 97 DP head, chambers opened and polished to 61cc
-65 mm TB
-Running 9:1 CR
-Crower forged rods
-Keith Black ICON forged pistons, .020 over
-PMAS HPX Blow-thru maf
-Spec stage 3+ clutch
-TC valve cover
-2.5'' IC piping from turbo to IC and 3'' from IC to TB
-3'' exhaust with magnaflow muffler
-Hallman PRO rx boost controller
-Tuning the truck myself with sniper commando
-255lph walbro pump
-80lbs siemens injectors
-98 FLH2 ECU
-1035 felpro head gasket

Body.
-12.1'' front slotted explorer sporttrac rotors with carbon pads
-DJM 3/4'' drop for now, going to 7/9 this winter
-Wheels are OEM Hyundai sonata 2009 18'' wheels, fitted with 2 inch spacers
-8.8 explorer diff, 3.73 LS with disc brakes

Probably missing a lot of parts I can't remember of right now.
I'm planning on running 20#s of boost with water/meth injection this summer. Going to be somewhere around 400 whp with this, maybe a lil less maybe more all depends on how much boost engine can handle with that high compression rate. :icon_hornsup:

Just FYI at 3 lbs of boost I was as fast as my friends '02 4.0 with a K&N intake and dual exhaust system. :icon_bounceblue:

Can't wait to see how it runs with more boost:D

The m50d seems to be holding fine for now, but didn't go over 6 lbs of boost yet... Many people run over 300 whp without any problem with those trannies.

For the gauge pod I used Auto Meter 15308 dual pod gauge.

I had a 7.5'' 4.10's before, and didn't like them too short gearing for turbo. This is why I went to 3.73 L/S.

Thanks for gauge pod number. I didn't realize they made one for the ranger. I am going to be swaping the 4.10 for 3.55

getting rid of the spoke rims? They look so good on your truck too! I was thinking of getting the nerf bars too. I agree with you , they do look good, even on a lowered truck.

need to put that tonneau cover on too!

Yeah, but I will actually buy a water/meth kit before a tonneau cover, but it is in my plans for this summer :)

The wheels you see on the truck are for sale... New set is going to look pretty bad with the new drop, gonna be hella flush :) I also decided to remove the stickers. In less than 2 months the truck is back on the road :D

No it isn't draggin frame at all, current is 6/9 and my sidesteps are 3inch from ground tho, and front valence is about 2 inch it is pretty low lol, my first plan was to go 7 on front, but its already a lot with 6 inch. I need to change my tranny crossmember for a raised one too, stock one will be a pita on bump stops.
