Hi I am new but I was reading the info on the duraspark conversion and wanted to let people know that it is posible to convert 2.9 rangers back to 2.8s with duraspark I have currently done this on my own .If anyone is interested in this I will make a posting about what I did

first thing you do is carfully remove all of the engine and computer wiring from under the hood, you need to save it you will use part of it later, you can use your existing wiring for your alternator, as this would be a pain to convert, I used an engine bridle from a 79 mustang but any early 80's bridle will work as long as it uses the blue brain box, then locate the ignition on power wire and the ignition run wire coming out of the firewall to hook to your new engine bridle, also you will need to trace the start wire backwards from the selonoid and tie this in to ignition start wire or your engine will not turn over,I think this should give you most of the basics,,,,,,,,,, its not really as hard as it sounds once the computer is out of the way and you locate the wires coming from the firewall
