I'm thinking of picking up a set of Jeep rims craigslist. But only if they will work.
I'm tired of the crappy 14" stock rim, its kinda a pain to find used tires.

I know that Jeeps use the same bolt pattern (5 x 4.5)
But will they fit and work fine on a Ranger? (Backspacing, offset?)

If they are aftermarket wheels that fit a 5 on 4.5 pattern, no problem....but if they are factory Jeep wheels, they will have to bored out for push-through centers to clear the Ranger front hub/rotor assy.

Look at the pics of my 94 in my sig, you will see the Jeep Canyon wheels I have on mine.

Post pics when ya get a chance also.................

Hmmm it was the other way around when I put the stock aluminum wheels off of my 91 ranger onto my gf's 94 grand cherokee. I had to grind the hub center out to fit over the jeeps hub.

What did it cost you to have them machined?

My credo
"220, 221, whatever it takes."
You only need to bore them out to fit over the 4x4's front hub. Tweak338 has 14" wheels which only came on 4x2 trucks. The Jeep wheels will fit, no problem, just don't go too big on the tires or they will rub on the inside because Jeep wheels have more backspace.
It's more of an issue on 4x4's with bigger tires.
Any 15" or 16" Ranger or Explorer wheel will fit also.

Thanks for the info.
So my only issue is backspace. (Jeeps are 5.5" IIRC)
I haven't begun lifting it, So no huge tires yet.

I will definitely pick up a set of Exploder or Ranger rims if I come across them.

I was just looking for a cheap way of getting bigger rims and better tire selection. Most guys on CL throw up their stock rims and tires, So I would be killing 2birds with one stone.
