Is it recommended? I'm trying to plan out my build. I do some towing with my truck. It has a limited slip right now. I would like to put in a locker but don't know how it would handle with a locker or even if it recommended. I would really like your input.

Towing should not be affected. I towed with my truck back when I had a spooled rear.

Does it make a difference if it is a lockrite or no-slip?

The only concern with an automatic locker is that on turns one axle is totally disconnected from the differential and all of the torque is on the other axle. It's conceivable you could bust an axle making a U-turn with a loaded trailer and traffic coming on fast and you feel the need to punch it. If the inside tire can slip, no problem. If the tongue weight keeps it from slipping, it needs to be strong. Just keep that in mind. Otherwise, you won't notice the axle difference. Heavier vehicles make these lockers (any automatic locker) work more smoothly.

For the most part I would be towing a couple of ATVs. At most maybe 3,000 pounds. Would I be alright with a no-slip or should I maybe save up for a Auburn locker #AUB545001. I like that one because it's limited slip when unlocked.

I would keep the limited slip because any locker install means you have to set the gears back up. But a couple quads is nothing. A locker would be fine with that.

If I were buying one a No-Slip from PowerTrax would be the way to go...

Ask me in a month or so about a LockRight when towing.
I'm just about to put one in...
