We are planning a trip to Land Between the Lakes (LBL or Turkey Bay) in Northwest Tennessee / Southwestern Kentucky.

Date:
July 25-26, 2009

Here is the website address to the facility:
http://www.lbl.org/OHVTrails.html

Here is a map of the ORV trails:
http://www.lbl.org/LBLTurkeyBayMap08.pdf

Here is the website address to the camping:
http://www.lbl.org/CAMPTurkeyBay.html

Food:
- Each attendant will be responsible for their own food and drinks.
- There is ice available to purchase at the lodge where you buy your ORV pass.

Camping:
- Each attendant will be responsible for their own camping. A 3 day camping permit is required and cost $5 per person.
- You can rent camping equipment here:
http://www.lbl.org/RatesAndHours.html

ORV Permit:
- Each vehicle MUST have a 1-3 day ORV sticker to be on the ORV park. To get the permit you must have THIS waiver with you at the time of registration.

ORV rules and regulations:
- Please print them, read them, and sign a copy to bring with you. I want people to know the rules when they come on the ORV park (RangerSVT's request).
http://www.lbl.org/08OHVRules-Regs.pdf

Vehicle Requirements:
- Front and Rear tow points
- Tow strap
- CB radio (not required, but EXTREMELY helpful if you are stuck since cell service probably isn't good there)

Wish my truck was made for that trail. I'd so drive from Missouri to attend!

hey, mine is pretty near stock.... just have coil spacers up front and 32" tires

alot of the trails you can do:icon_thumby:

only problem i had was some of the hill climbs are rutted pretty deep...... and stay away from the water:shok:

still there is alot of fun to be had:icon_thumby:

There are plenty of trails for all kinds of rigs, from brand new bone stock street tire trucks to lifted trucks sittin on 37's...loads of fun and awesome scenery...Railman, PM me some pics of our last run so I can post them up on here...

Anyone interested in making the trip can post here or PM me, the sooner the better so I can put your name on the list. For those that want to go but won't have a rig to drive on the trails, some of us will have passenger seats.

I would like to attend. How much money will I be laying down all in all?

I will be requiring an empty seat as I will drive the 04, alas the paint is flawless.

Frank

For those that can find an empty seat in a TRS truck, entry fee is free, it is 15 dollars per vehicle for a 3 day pass, which is required for any wheeling. As for as parking, I don't believe there is a charge for parking, which there is plenty of room for parking right outside the OHV area. Frank, I'll put you down as a rider, unless you have a 4 wheeler/dirt bike/UTV you'd like to ride with us

hey Frank, the main "yellow" roads have some fun hills and "obsticles", but you will nowhere near get your paint scratched:icon_thumby:

and yeah, Rick will have an open seat for the "orange" trails which are tight and you could get scratched with some decent hillclimbs

the areas designated with "red" rings are challenge areas and offer "white knuckle" hillclimbs:D

most of the deeper water crossings and mud bogs have pass arounds for those of us prone to hydrolocking

btw, where in WKY are ya?

as far as pics go from the 4th......comeing right up:icon_thumby:

I'd like to join in, after just coming from LBL I'm ready to head back again... I'd have to ride with someone being I have no 4wd right now... I'll bring my nice camera and make sure I get plenty of pics...

BTW - SVT, I saw your truck in Dover last weekend, at the baseball fields... Hard to miss it, lol...

like i said before, ya really don't need 4wd for the main "yellow" roads.....and if for some reason ya did we can allways hook up a strap:D
