Not only did I live, I walked away with just scratches. (NEW pictures)

Yesterday, I was headed to Lillooet to start my holiday, however, I never even made it to Golden. I was headed North when I crested a hill and a Semi-truck was headed toward me about a foot in my lane. I moved over because a Ranger vs Semi, the semi is taking it. I hit the sholder doing about 90km (about 55mi), and my back end started to slide out on me, next thing I know I going down the middle of the highway sideways and then the next thing I know, I'm in the ditch up-side down. I'm not entirely sure what happened between my sitting on the road sideways and me ending up up-side down but I do know, the hill/bank I went off of was about 50 feet below the road level, I was doing about 90km at this time, and I ended up-side down. I walked away [somehow] with just minor scratches. I was bleeding pretty badly though, I'll let the pictures do the talking, for that part. I would like to thank everyone that helped, and say, **** YOU, YOU GOD DAMNED ASSHOLE OF A HUMAN BEING OF A FUCKING TRUCK DRIVER, YOU RAN ME OFF THE FUCKING ROAD, YOU NEARLY FUCKING KILLED ME, AND YOU KEPT ON FUCKING DRIVING WITHOUT EVEN CALLING A FUCKING AMBULANCE OR ANYTHING FOR ME, **** YOU !!!!!!, to the driver of the Semi- truck.

damn man! lucky to be alive, BC roads get pretty slick, i've been through rogers pass many times going near golden and thats pretty scary, i've seen rocks and boulders on the roads, avalanches in the winter. Pretty crazy stuff in that country..sucks about the truck, you just got it back from paint not to long ago eh?

3 weeks, and I have to cancel the appointment tomorrow for getting it appraised next week. I basically got fucked up the ass with a spiked steel rod on this deal. I swear to god, If I ever track the semi truck driver down, I'm going to kill the motherfucker, but my description to the RCMP was "it was a big semi...and it was white" really narrows it down. $10000 worth of work, and it ends in me signing over the ownership to the tow yard. BUT I'M ALIVE!!!! I'm not leaving that easely!!

yea good to hear that you're still kickin, you're a CAA member i see? won't they just write it off and give you money?

As a few side notes

- My nickname is "Shoeboy" because appairently, I have a golden horseshoe shoved up my ass

- When I climbed up onto the road I sang "4 AM" by Our Lady Peace to myself.

- I was cracking jokes all the way to the hospital and made my paramedic laugh multipul times.

- I didn't see my life pass before my eyes, I'm kind of disapointed about that actually.

- When this was happening the only thought going through my mind was "I wish I stopped in Canmore to get a coffee"

- The road i was on was completly dry, but when I turned the corner onto this strecth it was wet so I took my foot off the gas, and didn't hit the brake as I knew there was going to be black ice

- The thing that I'm the happiest about, Shannon, canciled out on this trip on Friday, the passenger seat broke in 6 different spots, that I could see, I called her when I finally got home, and told her that she was lucky she canceled.

For the amount my insurance is going to go up, I'm not going to deal with insurance as I'll get nothing out of it as my truck was only insured with the basic PLPD with million dollar coverage because I was waiting for my appointment for the appraisal to get my insurance raised up to cover this type of thing. If I deal with my insurance, the only thing that will happen is my rates will go up.

Damn dude, that totally sucks. That is one hell of a fall. Its too bad about your truck, but its good to hear you're alive.

Holy crap man! I'm glad your OK!

Wow....

dude you must have a golden horseshoe shoved up your ass!!!!! sorry to hear about the truck but thank goodness you are alive!!! too bad that semi driver got away though.....

well, I've got to say, he must be that 0.01% of driver's that's a total dick. I don't care, If I was losing control, falling asleep, or whatever, and ran someone off the road, I wouldn't care what happens, I'm still stopping to see if they are okay and calling for help if needed.

Glad your okay man....

say, didn't you just get that thing painted not long ago?

I'm going to stop by the body shop today and ask Paul what his warranty is,lol. I think he should see what happened as it was all his hard work that went into it.

Good thing you are ok. A few scratches and barrel-rolling "x" number of times @ 55mph down an embankment into trees....I'd say you're pretty lucky.

:clapping:

Glad you're ok.

I think the Ranger held up pretty well considering what happened to it!

That first pic, doesn't really look like you rolled over that snow, are there tracks to the left outside of the picture? Or did you launch!?!?!
