b2600i engine ?

Yes physically it will fit, but IIRC you need to swap out the transmission and transfer case for units that bolt up to and can handle the power of a V8.

There are plenty of v-8 swaps done in rangers... search and you'll find a bundle to get ideas from :icon_thumby:

That's great except for the fact that he has a pre-ranger Mazda.

Just means that there are less conversion kits. I know the designs are different but v-8 swaps into lil trucks are all the same. Rip the old engine/transmission/wiring/ect. out, buy or fab conversion mounts, shoehorn bigger engine/matching transmission in, cut, chop, and rebuild as necessary, scream obscenities figuring out new wiring (depending on swap), modify driveshafts, upgrade rear end, etc etc.

Yeah I shouldn't have made a generalization, but it's never gonna be bolt on. He'll get a general idea of what he needs to do from looking at the builds. I've worked alot on v8 swapped s-10's. Never worked on a v-8 ranger. But still I understand what I need to do whenever I decide I need one in my ranger or in another project.

Not wanting to argue or anything, just explaining my reasoning.

I pry shouldn't have posted considering I don't have specific information. :dunno:

no ur right on track if you wanna do a E.S. whatever its going into isn't gonna make a difference there's just going to be less prefabricated parts witch means its gonna be cheaper :dunno::icon_thumby:
