Anyone know about Supercharged 3800 GMs?

Sorry for the long thread..but theres a bit of explaining here.

I'm having a problem with power loss in my Buick Park Avenue.

2 months ago I changed the lower intake manifold gaskets because it had a coolant leak. While I had the supercharger off I filled in the silencer ports with JB weld. This is something that people do all of the time and no one has ever had a problem with it, it just makes the supercharger louder.

Immediately after I got the car back together, it had a miss and wouldn't rev passed 2000rpm. I changed the plugs and wires because they were original, plus it had a code of "misfire cylinder 1".

After plugs and wires it ran better, but now I noticed an issue where it will lose power after it shifts into 2nd gear. It runs fine all through first gear, but when it shifts into second there is a noticeable loss in power. I race the car now and then, and it is running a half second slower on the 1/4 mile because of this. Another little issue I've noticed along with this is when I'm driving along with the rpms about 1500 rpm, if I start going up a hill, the rpms will bounce between 1500-2000, just like a light fluttering. If I give it a little gas so it'll downshift its fine. I changed the coils thinking that may be the problem, but nope, still doing it.

Its been 32k miles since the trans fluid/filter has been changed. Could this be the problem? It would be strange though that it would start doing this after changing the intake gaskets.

I have no vacuum leaks, already made sure of that, I'm not losing any boost from what I can tell (8-10 psi according to the gauge I just installed). I'm really at a loss here.

Check your fuel pressure. If they get even a lil bit thirsty they will start losing power.
 
thanks for that suggestion.. my fuel pressure was in spec, but I changed my fuel filter and I *think* that took care of it. Never crossed my mind!
 
I lied, it didn't help. I am thinking that I might have a dirty injector, might have gotten something stuck in it when I took them out. As soon as I get some space freed up in my garage I'm going to pull them out and have them cleaned. One thing at a time I guess. If that doesn't help off comes the supercharger again.

Remove the radiator cap, and drive a Ford under it.....:D:D
