i'm having some problems with the ignition cylinder on my 84 bronco II. I went to start it the other day and wasn't able to insert the key all the way in the ignition. After trying for about an hour to fix it, i ended up just getting a new ingition cylinder. but i'm unable to remove the old cylinder. the only way that i know of is to insert the key and turn it to start and you can push in a pin on the bottom then pull out the old cylinder and put in the new one. but since the key wont go in all the way i cant turn it to remove the ignition cylinder. any thoughts?

if you cannot get the key in all the way, then drill the cylinder out.

did you get any graphite and try to get the key in
